As I pulled into the Royal Farms this morning for coffee (sorry, Wawadude, but Royal Farms coffee rocks!) I noticed that there were less cars on the road than usual... and no school buses!
Aw, darn! I punched up the radio and heard the news... Harford County public schools were calling a snow day.
Blergh!
That means more kids hanging around Barnes & Noble during the day, and more parents phoning-in ("I can't come to work today...") because they have to stay home and look after the kids.
Did I miss something? I'm sure that back in my day we went to school if it was raining, and if was a little icy, and maybe (horror of horrors modern parents!) if there was a couple of flakes of snow on the ground.
Thus endeth my taxpayer rant.
